Vincennes University offers distinctive opportunities for students to learn chemistry. Extensive laboratory opportunities focus on students discovering the principles of chemistry and the mastery of laboratory techniques. Dedicated faculty, are committed to teaching both laboratory sessions as well as lectures sessions.

The broad selection of classes insures that well-prepared students will be challenged. Students who have less background in chemistry and mathematics will be presented with instruction appropriate to their level of preparation to their level of preparation.

The learning environment at Vincennes University is comfortable for students whether they are traditional, college age, or older students returning to college after other life experiences.

One of the interesting projects for organic chemistry students is the making of dyes, such as methyl orange, para red, and indigo. Then as an example of applications for organic chemistry the students make tie-dyed shirts.

Chemistry majors available on the Vincennes campus in the field of chemistry include biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy technician, pre-clinical laboratory, pre-dental, pre-environmental health science, food science, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary, and pre-veterinary technology. Pharmacy technician is also available on the Jasper campus.
