Men's Basketball Assistant Coach Willie Wiley

Willie Wiley is entering his second season with the Trailblazers as an assistant coach. Coach Wiley’s first year as an assistant helped guide a ranked Trailblazer team to a final four trip finishing fourth place overall with a 34-3 record. As a member of the coaching staff, Coach Wiley has been gaining experience in skill development with post players, recruiting, study tables, individual workouts, and has helped host youth summer camps.

Wiley is a former trailblazer who participated in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons under head coach Todd Franklin. During his career as a Trailblazer, his team made back-to-back final four appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament and was named first team All American in the 2013-14 season.

Wiley went on to play at Division I University of Evansville. While competing as a student-athlete, Wiley earned Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and minor in business. Returning to Vincennes University was an easy decision for Wiley because he wanted to be able to give back to a community and coaching staff that gave him so many experiences. The transition from student- athlete to coach was easy thanks to the help of Coach Franklin and Coach Davis.
