National Junior College Athletic Association Logo

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

VUVB Coasts Past Lincoln Trail

Robinson, IL – The Lady Trailblazers topped the Statesman of Lincoln Trail in 3 sets: 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, to capture their 18th win of the season.

“We looked okay overall. We looked like a team that was coming off of a 3-day break, which we were. We picked up a good win tonight, and will have to sharpen up some this weekend heading into our last big, home tournament of the year, the Showdown on the Wabash.”, Said Vincennes University Volleyball Coach Gary Sien.

The Blazers were led in kills by Sophomore Genesis Milisde with 11. Freshman Brooke Lasher added 4 kills, and tallied 3 serving aces. Sophomore Gabrielle Medrado tacked up 19 set assists, and 9 digs, while fellow sophomore Hannah Bullock, and freshman Allison Ruddick chipped in 17 & 9 digs respectively.  Medrado & sophomore Erica Kik rounded-out the stats column for the Trailblazers with 3 blocks a-piece.

The Vincennes University Women’s Volleyball Team will return to action this Friday in the opening game of the Showdown on the Wabash, the team’s last home tournament at the PE Complex during the 2017 season! The Trailblazers will play their 1st match of the day at 4 p.m. against the Mott Community College Bears! Come out and support your Trailblazers!!!!
