Greetings and Well Wishes from Student Affairs as we enter our third century as an institution of higher education. At Vincennes Univerity (VU) we pride ourselves with the distinction of being the oldest public institution of higher education in the Northwest Territory and in Indiana. Student Affairs supports the academic mission of Vincennes University by providing services which assist students in identifying, clarifying, and achieving their educational goals.
Student Affairs is open to any and all students, and we genuinely serve students as their home away from home. We are dedicated to preparing our students with knowledge, experiences, and opportunities to be scholars, global competitors, and productive citizens. Our division is an integral component of supporting, educating, and developing each student holistically, by providing comprehensive co-curricular activities and programs to all students. We are the primary resource on campus for students, and we serve as the liaison between students, administration, and the campus community. We promote and support diversity, inclusion, honor, integrity, and a safe and secure environment that is conducive for learning.
We invite you to visit our office regularly, and allow us to be a positive entity of your educational journey. Student Affairs provides regular opportunities for student engagement through seminars, workshops, and multicultural activites and events. We develop and promote programs which enhances the campus learning environment, improves the quality of life for students and others, promote and encourage best practices to enhance the student's critical thinking skills. Central to the University; is the respect and appreciation of cultures and diversity; life choices of students and the campus community; the investigation of contemporary issues concerning the well-being and choices of students; and a campus environment that is conducive to active learning and encourages a productive exchange of scholarly issues and ideas.
Our primary goal is always students matter most! Go Trailblazers!
