FEDERAL GRANTS

Grants are money given to help students based on need and other eligibility factors. Grants do not have to be repaid. The amounts vary from year to year.  To be even considered for grants, you have to fill out your FAFSA each year.

Federal Pell Grant
Federal Pell grants may be awarded to undergraduate students who qualify based on financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree. Up to $7,395 for 2023-2024 depending on financial need as determined by the calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from your FAFSA information. If you qualify, in order to receive the full Pell grant award for the semester, you must be enrolled full-time. However, if you do not attend full-time, even an eligible part-time student can receive a partial Pell grant award for the semester.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The amount varies based on exceptional need, Pell Grant eligibility, and the amount of money appropriated by Congress for the current budget year.
