Ivy Tech Partnership

Vincennes University and Ivy Tech Community College have partnered to offer Ivy Tech graduates easy access to a baccalaureate degree. Through this partnership, Ivy Tech graduates will be able to complete Homeland Security baccalaureate degree classwork on the Ivy Tech Indianapolis campus or online. This collaboration will provide a seamless, cost-effective degree pathway for students in high-demand, high-value careers.

It starts with students completing their first two years and earning an associate degree with Ivy Tech Community College, then culminates in earning a Vincennes University bachelor’s degree in either Homeland Security and Public Safety or Homeland Security-Cyber and IT Security Concentration the two years following (for full-time students). Students accepted by Vincennes into the program will transfer with junior status.

VU Admission Requirements

Admission as a student to Vincennes University leading to a bachelor’s degree requires any of the following:

  1. Official Ivy Tech transcripts with 24 hours of completed, transferable coursework, or
  2. High school diploma (request transcript using Parchment.com), or
  3. Official General Educational Development (GED) or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) transcript

Program Requirements

Completed Ivy Tech Associate Degree and a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average

Degrees that will transfer seamlessly into the Homeland Security and Public Safety program at Vincennes
