Part-time                

Vincennes University is seeking applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor at Lawrenceburg High School in Lawrenceburg, IN.   Subjects include Spanish; French; Literature; Journalism; Speech and Composition.

The Early College Program at Lawrenceburg High School has openings for adjunct faculty to teach dual credit courses as part of an adjunct faculty pool. This is a non-tenure track faculty position, reporting primarily to the Assistant Dean of Early College Programs for Vincennes University in Lawrenceburg, IN.  Adjunct contracts are subject to sufficient student enrollment. Preference will be given to applicants experienced in teaching at both the high school and college level.

This position is responsible for:

• Teaching undergraduate/dual credit courses and associated labs.

• Participate in the development and implementation of assessment, including learning outcomes at the course, program, college, and university level.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Candidates should have the interest and expertise to teach their assigned courses in an open access college setting.

  • Master’s Degree in the content area, or

Math Adjunct Faculty – Vincennes, IN

Part-time                     

The Mathematics Department of the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics at Vincennes University is seeking applicants for an Adjunct instructor of Mathematics or part-time instructor of Mathematics.  This is a one-semester position, reporting to the Chairperson of the Department of Mathematics and the Dean of the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics.

This position is responsible for:

  • Teach 3 - 12 semester hours of math courses, developmental through college transfer courses
  • Participate in planning and assessing student and course success
  • Comply with all record keeping requirements
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned

Successful candidates will have:

  • Master’s degree in mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate level mathematics courses (the department may consider applicants with fewer than 18 graduate hours of mathematics for emergency credentialing)
  • Experience teaching developmental and transfer freshman and sophomore mathematics classes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Machining Instructor, Adjunct – Lebanon, IN

Part-time

Vincennes University, Gene Haas Training and Education Center in Lebanon Indiana is seeking an Adjunct Machining Instructor.                   

  • Under the supervision of the site director, this position performs classroom and laboratory instructional duties in manual, or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining. This position requires a flexible schedule depending on the scheduling needs of industry and the department.

This position is responsible for:

  • Instruction of theory and hands on activities, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.

  • Prepare and/or maintain current course content and syllabi for course(s) taught.

  • Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi, or customer criteria.

  • Recommend and implement adequate instructional materials for course.

  • Recommend and implement adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.

  • Supervision of students.

    Successful candidates will have:

  • Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related industrial discipline or certifications, with five (5) years direct experience in machine trades.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial related field and some level of teaching or training experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in operating mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses [both conventional and Computer Numeric Control (CNC)].
  • The applicant must be able to work in a team environment utilizing effective communication skills.
  • The applicant must also be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and be able to develop programs and curricula to industry needs.
