  • The Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) Workforce Training Specialist is responsible for providing JAG services within a specific High School in Region 7. Assistant Dean of Instruction (Center Grove) – Greenwood, IN

Vincennes University invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Instruction for Early College. This is an administrative position that represents Vincennes University and serves as a liaison for faculty, staff, students and parents of our partnering school corporation. This is a full-time, professional staff position at Center Grove High School.

 

Responsibilities of the position are:

 

Partnership Responsibilities:

  • Work cooperatively with school administration to plan, execute, and monitor the early college model.
  • Work cooperatively with school administration to provide for early college staffing needs.
  • Work cooperatively with school administration to advise and support students toward program completion.

Planning Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with school administration to develop annual goals and objectives for the early college program.
  • Work collaboratively with school administration to monitor the progress of the implementation of the early college program.
  • Work collaboratively with school administration to develop the scope and sequence of course offerings that lead to program completion.
  • Conduct an annual review of the early college program with school administration.

Staffing Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with school administration to credential and develop teaching staff of dual-credit courses.
  • Train school teaching staff to use relevant university systems.
  • Ensure that teachers continue to meet accreditation standards and follow Vincennes University requirements, procedures and guidelines for dual-credit courses.

Student Advising Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with school administration to advise students to meet early college and post-secondary goals.
  • Monitor student academic performance and intervene when necessary in cooperation with school administration.
  • Administer the Accuplacer placement exam in cooperation with school administration.
  • Perform audits of student progress to ensure proper scheduling and successful completion.
  • Petition seniors for graduation.
  • Coordinate transfer of credits from outside agencies to Vincennes University.
     

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support school administration community outreach and promotional efforts.
  • Support Vincennes University admission activities.
  • Participate in pertinent committees and advisory councils.
  • Support summer programming at Vincennes University.

Transcript Evaluator (MEP) – Vincennes, IN

Full-time

 

Vincennes University’s Military Education Program is seeking applications for the position of Transcript Evaluator. This is a full-time position.

 

Position Summary

 

Evaluate and process military student’s formal military training and experience based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education. Evaluate and process official college transcripts based upon articulated credit and University policies and procedures.

 

The position has responsibilities such as:

 

  • Process MEP student military experience documentation to award college credit based on the American Council on Education’s recommendations.

  • Possess a clear knowledge of University courses, programs, academic standards and requirements.

  • Process incoming MEP student college transcripts per University policy and input transfer credit on to the Banner system.

  • Communicate with the Registrar’s Office regularly to ensure continuity between the Extended Studies Division and Office of the Registrar.

  • Communicate with MEP sites and military installations concerning student issues related to military experience evaluations and college transcript evaluations.

  • Prepare and submit SOC agreements electronically.

  • Communicate and work as a liaison to Academic Divisions to ensure the expedient processing of college transcripts.

  • Ability to work independently and utilize critical thinking skills when developing degree plans for deployed and deployable military servicemembers.

  • Ability to travel is necessary to participate in ongoing site specific training and conferences.

  • Help to maintain a highly efficient and organized office environment, to include but not limited to: providing accurate information on phone, via email, and in person to the public; maintaining confidentiality in the work environment; helping to create and maintain files and systems of organization both electronically and via hard copy; basic computing; meeting deadlines associated with the academic calendar and University policies.

  • Bachelor Degree, required.

This is a full-time, professional staff position. Vincennes University is seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The CTE Early College Site manager has a critical role in serving as a resource for faculty, staff, and parents at the Career Center Site and developing collegial relationships with faculty and staff in Vincennes University system.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Director, Center for Technology, Innovation, & Manufacturing – Jasper, IN

Vincennes University Jasper (VUJ) is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing (CTIM). As VUJ nears celebrating its 50th year of service, and with the recent Dubois County Ready Schools Initiative partnership, it could not be a more exciting time to begin this position! The successful candidate will play an important role in the overall Jasper campus enrollment growth plan, engaging key constituents from the region around common goals.

 

This position is responsible for:

 

Program/ Facility Management and Strategic Planning

  • Create and contribute to a positive work environment through intentional communications.

  • Coordinate, recruit, and supervise academic programs and partnerships housed in the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Manufacturing.

  • Manage an advising caseload of CTIM program students ensuring timely degree completion.

  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate instructors and lab support staff.

  • Lead the selection, installation, scheduling and implementation of curriculum, equipment, and instructors.

  • Serve as CTIM building administrator ensuring facilities are utilized safely and effectively.

Director of Marketing and University Relations – VINCENNES, IN

Full-time

 

Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Director of Marketing and University Relations. This position will manage and execute marketing activities and media relations under the direction of Vincennes University’s Senior Director of External Relations. The position is focused on formulating innovative concepts that support the VU brand, marketing, recruitment, and online development goals. The Director will provide direction to the University’s talented visual design team, as well as well as be the leader of audio/video productions, manage web development and content generation, and solidify communication streams for external audiences including both paid and earned media.

This position is responsible for:

MARKETING-BRANDING (35%)

  • Be a leading contributor to the development of cohesive branding and messaging that supports the mission and vision of Vincennes University, as well as, the University strategic plan

  • Manage the production and design of promotional materials

  • Communicate marketing efforts, branding guidelines, and other information effectively to components of the VU system

  • Serve as the primary producer/editor for audio and video productions for VU marketing

  • Provide regular reports including web analytics, lead generation, and market performance ROI

  • Operate within a flexible duty set in order to adapt to University changes in marketing and recruitment

  • Maintain an understanding of marketing trends across both educational and commercial landscapes

  • Collaborate with program and team members to refine workflow;

  • Support internal communication efforts

  • Source external suppliers which may include web designers, freelance companies, online services and illustrators

  • Serve as a member of the Crisis Communications Team

  • Be an active and visible representative of External Relations

  • Complete other related duties as assigned by the senior director

UNIVERSITY DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT (30%)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and evolve web design standards and ensure creative teams follow the standards

  • Determine social media outlets of choice and implement strategies that support the University’s strategic plan

  • Generate impactful social media content

  • Manage student workers/interns assigned to online content support.

  • Source external suppliers which may include web designers, freelance companies, online services and illustrators

  • Remain aware and versed in emerging technology or communication streams that may be beneficial to University communications

MEDIA/UNIVERSITY RELATIONS (15%)

  • Assure continuity and consistency in the production of media releases

  • Solidify integrated messaging between paid and earned media

  • Streamline intake processes for event and news information

  • Support interdepartmental sharing and production of University stories

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (20%)

  • Serve as the liaison between the senior director and the marketing/public relations teams of External Relations

  • Oversee the activities of the University Life Reporter and direct reports which include the Communications Coordinator and the BlazerVision Supervisor

  • Guide a decentralized online management plan

  • Implement a vibrant student intern and student worker program to support the activities of External Relations

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with minimum 3 years professional work required and two years management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in higher education will be considered as beneficial.

Vincennes University is looking for an innovative, flexible, strategic thinker to lead marketing communications. Candidates must have experience in a wide range of media and act as a digital storyteller. The Director of Marketing and University Relations will be responsible for cultivating relationships, coordinating, producing, and distributing strategic messaging to support the Vincennes University branding and recruitment objectives; creating a seamless communication stream for components of the University system; and serve as a key advisor for future marketing activities and technology with both internal and external stakeholders. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license for daytime and overnight travel.
