Library Videos

Course Reserves: Course reserves are materials selected by professors for their specific classes to be available in the Library for student use. To view items available use OneVU -> Search -> Course Reserves. Search by Name, Course Name, Department, or Title. Search by “*” to see all Course Reserves. 

Evaluating Resources:  When researching articles for a paper, it is the responsibility of every researcher from student to tenured faculty to evaluate their resources. A simple test you can run on each of your resources to make sure that they are appropriate for you is the CRAAP Test.

Searching Databases:  Learn how to search for scholarly journal articles in Shake Library's databases. Included are instructions for accessing the databases from off campus.

Using iPad Apps:  Demonstrates how to use apps on the iPad. Includes opening apps, opening folders of apps, running apps in the background, minimizing apps, and closing apps.

Using iPad Text and Keyboard:  Demonstrates how to use the iPad keyboard and some text shortcut features. Includes hiding the keyboard, undocking keyboard, splitting keyboard, auto-typing, auto-capitalization, cut, copy, and paste.
