Human Subjects Research
Institutional Review Board
Any research involving human subjects is protected by federal law and is, therefore, subject to review and approval. Vincennes University contracts for these services through Indiana State University (ISU). Dr. Robert Nora, Program Chair for the Baccalaureate Technology Program, serves as the Institutional Review Board Liaison on ISU’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).
Although some research of human subjects is considered exempt, said determination cannot be made by the individual seeking to conduct the research. Faculty, staff, or students interested in human subjects research can contact Dr. Nora at (812) 888-4257 or email@example.com.
Additional information about human subjects research and the Institutional Review Board at ISU is available at https://www.indstate.edu/irb and through IRBNet (https://www.irbnet.org/release/index.html), the system used by the IRB for submission of all research studies involving human subjects.
